Reported speech

Is when we report someone's words literaly or put the subject and "said that"

Examples:

1. He said she was living in London.
2. My mom said she hadn't seen Julie.
3. She said she had taken English lessons before.

Reporting questions

We report what the people said but in those cases we report questions and we aren't interested in the answer.

Examples:

1. She asked me if I was cold.
2. He asked where his pen was.
3. They asked us whether we wanted lunch.
4. She asked me where the station was.
5. He asked me who had seen Avatar.
